Tuesday 16th June 2009 at 12.00 p.m the Pan room of Arts Palace in Naples in Via dei Mille will host the press conference of presentation to the city of Urban Integrated Programme (PIU - Europe), approved by the Production Room.
At the press conference will be present the Regione Campania President Antonio Bassolino, the Mayor of Naples Rosa Iervolino Russo, the Old Town Centre Councillor Nicola Oddati, the Building Councillor Pasquale Belfiore, Monsignor Adolfo Russo on behalf of Naples Archdiocese and the Arts and the Environment Regional Director Pio Baldi.
The approvation of PIU allows the utilization of funds (240 million euros) already allocated and the opening of projects related to UNESCO area, Neapolis, the hystorical centre, the town foundation, the Sanità and Montesanto areas, the recovery of the ex military hospital and of the coastal strip that from Piazza Mercato arrives to Piazza Municipio.
As regards the eastern area the PIU Naples links up and complete the pilot scheme on the Spanish Quarters with the Bassi Project.
The Urban Integrated Project will be realized after the sharing with production, culture and co-operation forces.
The programming of these meetings will be communicated during the press conference.
