It has been given also the Metronapoli Special Prize - 3rd edition.
Starting from today and for three weeks, the small books with the selected tales and poems will be distributed in Literary Jukeboxes located in the main railway stations Metronapoli.
Naples, 15 June 2009 - Today is started the free distribution of the tales Subway-Literature 2009, the national competition that promotes the reading on subway.
Until July 7th in the main city subway and funicular stations, the passengers could take free from Literary Jukeboxes more than five hundred thousand copies of the 12 narrative and poetry tales rewarded by the national jury. For the 3rd consecutive year the Metronapoli Special Prize, sponsored by the Council of Naples, goes to the tale "Rosso tango" written by the thirty-year-old sociologist Laura Bugno whom the company has dedicated the publication of a 13th selected tale from a local jury and in free distribution with the national tales.
The Subway-Literature, arrived to its 8th edition, proved once again to have the ability of stimulate the creativity of hundreds of young writers coming from all parts of Italy. Infact, the writers and the poets who have taken part to the competition this year are 1.160. All of them rigorously debutant, under 35. Among the most "productive" Regions there is just Campania with the 19 percent of the participants, immediately after Lombardia with the 24 percent of the participants, because Milan has first given hospitality to the event in its subway. A fact that is evidence of the cultural vivacity of Campania territory and of its young people that have allowed Subway to confirm its role of talent scout and of "antenna" of creativity.
All the works can be also consulted on the web-site www.subway-letteratura.org, a big virtual jukeboxe where the authors can send tales and poems. The very well frequented literary blog dedicated to the writers, poets and readers who like this successful format(conceived by Laboratorio E-20, an Association from Milan) will animate the conversation and the literary debate between the authors.
