PAN | First Floor
From 2 July 2009 to 3 August 2009

After the success obtained in 2007 with the exhibition "Traces in the Future", the PAN renews its collaboration with the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts with an exhibition dedicated to the world of video art and new media. The Epic in the Everyday collects and shows the works of seven young artists from Taiwan, who explore, through the use of a shrewd and simple language, the essential properties of video, film and animation and, first of all, their capacity of representation and the relation they have with time, space and imagination. The attention concentrates on normal subjects and moments of quotidian life, transformed in a poem on life, in order to represent with simplicity and ability the relations of human life, included aspects like mistery, humour, solitude and sadness.

The project is supervisioned and promoted by the Council for Cultural Affairs, Executive Yuan, the Culture Town Councillorship of the Naples Municipality, the PAN Arts Palace in Naples, the Taiwan Cultural Center and Kaohsiun City Bureau of Cultural Affairs. Organized by PAN Arts Palace in Naples and by the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts with Civita in association with the Taiwan Cultural Centre in Paris; with the support of the Council of Culture of the City of Naples, of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs, the Kaohsiung City and by Taipei Government and Representative Office in Italy.

Opening on 2 July 2009 at 12.30 p.m.
