The 61st edition of IAC (International Astronautical Congress) was inaugurated in Prague, boasting the participation of 5000 delegates from all over the world, representing the industry's companies and excellences. This is an event that brings the city of Naples closer to the 2012 IAC edition that will be hosted in our city.
The Italian delegation is composed of ing. Enrico Saggese, President of the Italian Space Agency, ing. Norberto Saza and prof. John Suami of high-tech center of Naples, of dr. Vincenzo Lipardi delegate of the Mayor Rosa Russo Iervolino.
"Hosting the Expo space in Naples in 2012, a worldwide impact event, is a great opportunity for our city" said Mayor Iervolino. "The city administration devoted itself completely to get tHis result that allows us to look to the future and development of our territory which host big companies in the aerospace industry".
The Congress is organized by Federazione Astronautica Internazionale (IAF), founded in 1951 with the aim of meeting the growing need of international cooperation in the Space industry and know-how. It is an international no-profit NGO, consisting of 199 members from about 50 countries representing space and space-related agencies, corporations, firms, associations and institutions.
