This church was founded at the beginning of the 17th century and survived the demolition of the Monumental Complex of the Carmelites, to which it was annexed. The demolition took place at the beginning of the 20th century to make room for the building of the university hospitals.
The interior of the church, redecorated on a plan conceived by Francesco Antonio Picchiatti and then by Manni, has a single nave with side chapels, which include paintings of the XVII and XVII century.
On the lacunar ceiling there is a painting depicting the Madonna of the Carmine and Saints (17th century). Valuable marble decorations of the second half of the 17th century adorn the nave and the apse.
