Summer in Naples 2012

Summer in Naples

"A sea of ideas in the city". This isn't an advertising wish but an absolute certainty for this new Summer in Naples.

The main idea is too simple: to let artists, places and spectators communicate together. A roles' intertwining which is the emblem and the sense of our event that will break out between Naples monuments, parks and suburbs. We wanted to imagine a unique becoming performance to involve day by day and quarters by quarters residents and tourists in a movement representing not only Neapolitan talents but also artists who wants to find a "new light" in Naples. The Maschio Angioino (House of Anjou)' s courtyard will be the privileged oasis which will host from 15th July to 19th September many events dedicated to music and theatre. There will be also the Songwriter-song, Jazz, electro, rap, ethnic language and rock titles which will mix with theatre's performances on Monday. In Summer, we invite the public to reverse its routine: in the good season, in fact, the audience will able to sit down in good stalls of Maschio Angioino's courtyard.
The New Castle is the ideal magnet around which other events will alternate, in a map which include zones between the historical centre and the extensive city. There will be fantastic to see shows at the same time in the city and in Scampia square, Plebiscito Square and at Ponticelli's Palargine, in Sant'Eligio's monumental District and in Pausilypon Archeological Park. I'd like to confirm that the sea's place in Bagnoli, the roads in Soccavo and San Pietro a Patierno, the Robinson Park in Fuorigrotta and the Parco del Poggio (Poggio's park) in Colli Aminei will be involved in this event from time to time.

So that the culture can remain a wide and extensive concept.
