Napoli Screen 2012 comes out of Castle and "invades" the city. Napoli Film Festival brings the Short Film to the Accadedemy, Documentaries to the Pan and the Schools of the Grenoble Institute.
Young directors ready to fly. Journalists and Documentarist makers that tell about brutal stories. Kids that dream about being a starmovie from their desk. Everything belongs to Screen Napoli, section of Napoli Film Festival divided into Short Film, Documentaries and School that, during years, became a dreams box and an important focus downtown, a window from wich looks out and make themselves known.
This year Napoli Screen creeps in the whole city ,going down the Castle's stairs to head for all the film lovers, film makers and neapolitans talents scout. There will be three base for the contest, one of them will host a section on the 24th of september.
The Accademy of art will host 33 shot film selected by the organizers of section Short film. Everyday, from 24th september to 28th september at 5.30pm, there will be the screening of six- seven short films in the auditorium of institute (Constantinopoli street, 107). Napoli Film Festival, this year, combines also other Film Festivals of Campania Region: 23 festivals have joined the project marking the works at the contest.
Section Napoli Documentaries Screen will take place at Pan (Palace of Art of Naples, Via dei Mille 60) from 24th to 28th september. Everyday at 5.00pm, there will be the screening of two documentaries.
Grenoble Institute (via Crispi 86, Naples), will host the students of schools of Campania Region that made up the short films Napoli School Screen.
On 26th september at 10.30am will be the screening of the work of 8 primary schools while the day after (27th september at 10.30am) will expose 6 upper schools.
Saturday 29th of september at 7.00pm in Castel Sant'Elmo, during the Event "Vomero Notte", will be the award ceremony of all the sections of Napoli Screen 2012. The 29th of september will be a great night of neapolitan cinema. The event, free entrance, will start at 5.00pm in the auditorium of Castle of Nauta, with the screening of major work of Guido Pappadà, neapolitan debutant film maker. After the film screening, there will be the prize giving of works of Napoli Screen and then the screening of Due (Two), a short film promoted by the Accademy of Arts of Naples and directed by Stefano Incerti. Then, there will be the screening of "Le quattro giornate of Napoli" (Four days of Naples), a movie of 1962 directed by Nanni Loy that is 50 years old in 2012. The movie belongs to a film seasons that are half century this year that will take part at the contest FotoGrammi that involves photographs that are exposing works inspired to the "last 50" films.
