A home for art. Thoughts and plans for contemporary art in Naples: the Masters

Wednesday, February 5th from 5.30 pm

The NPO Association "Oltre il Chiostro", as part of the project that supported and implemented by Museo Arca, in Santa Maria La Nova in Naples, in collaboration with the Councillorship of Culture of Naples and the PAN / Palace of Arts of Naples, opens a series of debates on the knowledge of the paths of the artists and the relationship with the operators of contemporary visual art, public and private, in the Campania region and especially in Naples.
The project plans to present, during the year, studies and texts already published and that deal with artists' works. The aim of the project is to appreciate the knowledge of the collective heritage, that is sometimes overlooked.
The first meeting will be on the book "Pedicini, la città solare".
Piesse, Grafica & Stampa snc-Foglianise (Bn), 2013 edition out of print.
The book was published in occasion of the homonymous exhibition, curated by Gilda Luongo, and of Aulo Pedicini's works in Salerno at the Santa Sofia complex in June 2013. The book collects points of view of critics, journalists and professionists of visual arts. The many topics developed generate a debate on the complex pathways of Neapolitan artists.
