The Department of Culture, in cooperation with the Regional School Office and with the help of anti-wearand anti-racket associations, accepted the proposal of the theater company Metastudio89, to present to young Neapolitans students a new staging of the play "Cravattari" by Fortunato Calvino after twenty years since its first performance. The new edition of "Cravattari" was presented at a conference press by the Councillors Daniel Nino and Alessandra Clemente, Tano Grasso, Honorary President of the FAI (Federation of Anti-racket and UsuryAssociations), Geppino Fiorenza, coordinator of Libera and Fortunato Calvino, writer and director. They all pointed out how relevant is the play today, since it gives the possibility to reflect on a central theme: the relationship with violence and illegality, the responsability of individuals and society as a tool to counter their spread and a different model of coexistence.

 
"Cravattari is one of the best and most intense drama written in Italy in the last decades. The play derives from a civil motivation. The representation retains during the whole performance the sense of Pathos. Then the impulse transforms itself into a tragic form of total poetry. The dialectic between despair and love reaches the most extreme tension and is staged in the gloomy atmosphere that brings life to the edge of nowhere. It is like a descent into the hell, where the space represented is Naples undergrounds. The ground is nothing more than going back over the march of civilization, from the darkness of the cave to the light of rights and of the construction of the innermost recesses of the soul, where the archetypes of good and evil can be found. It is very difficult to render by speech what the theater returns to the viewer. For this reason, I can not tell you the excitement I felt the first time I have seen "Cravattari". I can only say that I was clearly aware of being in front of one of the loftiest of contemporary Italian theater. It is a work of art that reached the entire purpose of art: changing the world. Now that the crisis made the wear the dominant social and criminal problem, now that the global financial crisis transformed the wear itself into the leitmotiv of our lives, and that the rate money lender is paid with the price of the future, everyone should see this play".

Metastudio89
The Cultural Association Metastudio89 works in the entertainment field, with particular reference to the theater. Its founders, the actress Rosa Fontanella and the director Fortunato Calvino, studied at the school of experimental theater in the '80s and, after working extensively in national and Neapolitan companies, they gave birth to the Cultural Metastudio89 whose aim is to propose, in a theatrical landscape increasingly flattened by the logic of the market, texts and authors belonging to the European background.
In collaboration with the Goethe Institut, the Association gave rise to the Observatory on the European Theater, an annual festival of contemporary European theater dedicated each time to a different country.

Nueva preparación

 

El Departamento de Cultura, en colaboración con la Oficina regional de la escuela y con la ayuda de las asociaciones de lucha contra la usura y la estafa, ha aceptado la propuesta de la compañía de teatro Metastudio89 de presentar a jóvenes napolitanos una nueva puesta en escena dela obra "Cravattari" de Fortunato Calvino, veinte años después de su primera actuación.
 
La nueva edición de "Cravattari" fue presentada en una rueda de prensa por los consejales Nino Daniele y Alessandra Clemente, Tano Grasso, Presidente Honorario de la FAI (Federación de Asociaciones contra laestafa y la usura), Geppino Fiorenza, coordinador de Libera per la Campania, y Fortunato Calvino , autor y director.

Todos han señalado que este texto es muy actual, además has subrayado la importancia de proponer a los jóvenes una ocasión para la reflexión sobre un tema central en nuestras vidas: la relación con la anarquía y la violencia que la acompaña, la responsabilidad de los individuos y de la sociedad en la lucha contra la propagación y finalmente proponer un modelo diferente de convivencia.

 
 
"Cravattari" es uno de los dramas más intenso einteresante escrito y representado en Italia en las últimas décadas. La motivación de la que surge la obra es una razón civil, que determina a lo largo de toda la representación el Pathos. Por otra parte, el ímpetus se convierte en una forma trágica de total poesía. La dialéctica entre la desesperación y el amor llega a la tensión más extrema y se pone enescena en un la atmósfera sombría que da vida al borde de la desolación. La obra se configura como descenso a los infiernos cuyos espacio de acción es el subsuelo de Nápoles. Pero la tierra es más bien una marcha de la civilización de la oscuridad de la cueva a la luz de los derechos y libertades de la persona humana, y también la construcción de lo más íntimo del alma donde se hallan los arquetipos del bien y del mal. Es imposible describir a través de las palabras lo que realmente el teatro vehicula al espectador. Así que es casi injusto intentar describir la emoción que sentí la primera vez que asistí a "Cravattari". Sólo puedo decir que yo era claramente consciente de estaren frente de una de las obras más elevadas del teatro italiano contemporáneo, una obra de arte que cumple el propósito del arte: ayudar a cambiar el mundo. Ahora que la crisis ha convertito la usura en una problemática social y criminal de nuevo dominante incluso debido a la crisis financiera mundial. Todo eso nos lleva a decir que la usura se había convertido en la esencia de nuestra sociedad y que la tasa usurera se paga con el precio del futuro de las nuevas generaciones. Por esta razón todo el mundo debería veresta obra.
