Monday, March 10th, at 12:30 pm, at Palazzo San Giacomo, the Councillor Nino Daniele of the Department for Culture will give, on behalf of the city, to Rosa Panaro a certificate of appreciation and gratitude of the citizens and the City Council for her long and prestigious artistic activity.
"Rosa Panaro" said the Councillor Daniels "represents from many years a landmark in the culture and artistic production of our city. For this reason, we decided to host a significant exhibition at the PAN on her most recent production.
The artist is widely known for the use of recycled materials and new and old talismanic symbols. Her production represents for Naples a special gift, played on the elements of good luck, which is particularly useful in a problematic period, as the one that our city is experiencing.
We want to give credit to the artist throughout her creative career, for the role she played in the cultural life of Naples.
I refer to the role of civil engagement and reflection, which, as an artist deeply rooted in her land, Rose has never subtracted, from the feminist experience, lived intensely and with full participation in connection with the artistic movements that acted in the city.
And I am also referring to the ability she had to put back into play ancient elements of our tradition and our culture in a reflection that is compared with the most advanced international artistic production.
