Umberto I Gallery - March, 7th - 9th

 

It will take place in Naples, on March, 7th - 9th, the first edition of "Leguminosa", Slow Food International event dedicated to vegetables, heritage of extraordinary importance for human nutrition. The program of the event is divided into 3 days, with a market of 40 "stalls", 2 conference events, 3 Workshops, 4 educational courses for children and families, 4 Taste Workshops and 5 Theater of Taste with renowned chefs of the regional and national panorama.
 
There will be two main locations: Umberto I Galleria and Salone Margherita. More restaurants will take part to the event, as those of the Guide "Inns of Italy 2014". At Hall of Barons of Maschio Angioino (Castel Nuovo) the INAUGURATION will take place with the participation of Stefano Caldoro, President of the Region Campania, Luigi de Magistris, Mayor of Naples, Vallo di Diano, President of the National Park of Cilento, Alburni Amilcare Troiano, Francesco P. Iannuzzi, President of ANCI Campania and Roberto Burdese, president of Slow Food Italy.
 
 
The contents of the event were designed by Slow Food Campania in collaboration with Slow Food Italy andthe Centre of Studies of Slow Food International, the operational contribution of the Campania Region, the City of Naples, Campania ANCI, the National Park ofCilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburnumi, of "Sabox", "Formaperta", "Ferrarelle S.P.A. and "Alfredo Barbaro srl".
 
 
 
"Leguminosa" is an event with "zero impact". During the event biodegradable andeco-friendly material will be used. The elements of construction are fully recyclable and reusable, durable and environmentally friendly. Particular attention will be given to the collection and disposal of waste, by adopting the policy of zero waste by implementing a separate collection of rubbish.
 
 
 
The Market will be opened atthe Umberto I Gallery, on Friday, March7th from 3pm to 9pm, Saturday, March 8th from 10am to 9pm and Sunday March 9th from 10am to 9pm. During the same hours: Wine Cellar Enoteca Slow Wine, Spazio Birra and Slow Food Campania.
 
 
 
The admission to the Marketand to the Conferences is free. Wine Cellar Enoteca Slow Wine, Spazio Birra and Slow Food Campania will organize taste itineraries. Participation to theWorkshops is free, booking online is compulsory.
