Bimbimbici (Kids on Bike) is a national event sponsored by FIAB (Italian Federation of Friends of the Bicycle), that aims to promote sustainable mobility and the use of bicycle among youngs.
The event will involve a ride along the city streets with people aged from 5 to 80!
The event represents a revenge for all those vulnerable users of the roads who daily live the city as a place reserved for heavy users (motorists in the first place). The "people" of Bimbimbici consisting of all those (young and old) who love cycling, nature and want to live in a world where cars leave a space without pollution for the bikes. Bimbimbici also represents a general reflection on the need to create green areas and biking trails to enhance the liveability of urban centers. The event is held simultaneously in more than 250 Italian cities. The event in Naples will be held for the first time at the Mostra d'Oltremare, where participants will reach two meeting point, Piazza Vittoria and Piazza Dante, after passing through the city. Testimonial of the event will be Bhuring Juliana, a non-professional social FIAB Cicloverd cyclist, who last year was the only woman who took part to the event, she enetered in the first 10 positions, moreover she took part to the "Transcontinental Race" (1864 miles) from London to Istanbul.
