The event is a tribute to Aung San Suu Kyi, Burma's prisoner for decades of the military regime and Nobel Prize for Peace. The event involves reading of texts written by various authors and writings that touch on themes such as those of civil society, justice and freedom, to get to democracy, and connecting ideas that come from a personal experience in the life of an entire country and the rights of every human being.
The text consists of six unpublished monologues whose protagonist are Aung San Suu Kyi. They were written by Maricla Boggio along with Augusto Bianchi Rizzi, Fortunato Calvino, Alberto Bassetti, Stefania Porrino, Vittorio Francescho. The texts will be read by which will be read by Antonella Morea, Rosa Fontanella, Rita Montes, Gioia Miale, Pietro Iuliano, Antimo Casertano.
The readings will be introduced by a short presentation of the Councillor for Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples Nino Daniele.

"Can a Burmese woman, prisoner in her own home, become the protagonist of the democratic opposition in hes country, become a positive example for the whole world, for all democracies and simultaneously preserve humanity and simplicity of behavior?Aung San Suu Kyi managed to become the protagonist, she gave a decisive contribution to the liberation of her people from the military dictatorship, she proposed herself not only as one of the strongest personality and one of the most effective political actors of our time, but also as an extraordinary example of personal dignity and freedom from the constraints of power. It is quite dangerous to make a comparison, but when I think about her, I think about Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela and, therefore, how each person can make a contribution to the progress and justice even without weapons and without a great economic power, but with the strength of their ideas and the consistency of their behaviors.
