The famous pianist Roberto Prosseda will perform some compositions by Scarlatti, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Liszt, Joplin, then interacting with the robot. The initiative is organized by the Accademia Musicale Napoletana (Italian glorious institution founded in 1933 by Alfredo Casella, governess from 1952 International Piano Competition for he titled) and promoted by the Department of Culture and Tourism for the City of Naples. Who is TEO TRONICO? Teo tronic (Imola, 2012), designed and built by Matteo Suzzi, a pianist-robot that plays the piano with great dynamic control of articulation, thanks to his 53 fingers and technology that allows you to move them with great precision and speed . It was introduced by the pianist Roberto Prosseda that since March 2012 organizes concert lectures with Teo Tronico on the relationship between play and musical interpretation. In 2012 he made his debut on television on Channel 5, taking part to the programme "Italy's Got Talent". He made his debut with orchestra August 26th, 2012 with the Berliner Symphoniker conducted by Michelangelo Galeati at the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic.
What does Teo Tronico do? Teo Tronico can play literally playing a midi file: therefore ideal interpreter of the repertoire for player-piano by Stravinsky, Hindemith, Nancarrow, Ligeti.
