From Friday June 6th to Sunday, June 8th get ready to dance in the wonderful floridiana Park. The beautiful festival of contemporary and ethnic dance "Barefooted in the Park" is back. the Festival was conceived and directed by two dancers and choreographers, Simona Lisi and Maria Grazia Sarandrea. The event, now in its 4th edition, involved since its first edition a very large audience.
It will start on friday at 5pm with with contemporary dance and two extraordinary performers Carmelo Scarcella and Frida Vannini, both dancers for Carolyn Carlson. they will performe "Satisfaction-geography interior" on the stage inf ront of the Museum, moreover they will offer a dance lesson as well. On Saturday, 7th at 10.30am, "Come and read a book with me", an initiative for children, with dramatized fairy tales and stories in English with Basia Wajs, dancer and actress. At 11.30am Maria Strova's middle eastern dance, Colombian dancer and author of several publications on belly dancing. The dancer will also present the show "Looking for Scheherazade". At 5pm sensory experience that will involve the five senses with a lesson inside the park with Simona Lisi. On Sunday, 8th appointment at 10.30am with a Gyrokinesis lesson offered by Oltreilmare with live music by Ciccio Merolla. Maria Grazie Sarandrea and giovanni Imaparato will present the show "Kut". Cuban rhythms and songs will enrich the day. At 5pm lecture-performance of "Dances in Circle" performed by Carolina Botti, dancer and researcher. A nice way to end with a ritual dance three days of performances and lectures. The festival is organized by Ventottozerosei Cultural Association in collaboration with the circuit-CDTM Campano of Dance, with the support of the Special Superintendence for the PSAE and for the Museums of the city of Naples, the Department of Culture and the 5th Municipality.
