On the four Thursdays of June, the Cultural Association Lux in Fabula, the Palace of the Arts in Naples and the Historical Archives of the Zoological Station Anton Dohrn (Aquarius) propose a series of original meetings dealing with the "image". "Lux in Pan - The image from the magic lantern to the drones" by the Lux in Fabula, well known association in the Campi Flegrei for its involvment in culture.
The meetings present the extensive research conducted by the Association on the so-called "civilization of the image", from the beginning until the more recent developments.

With original projections XIX century by Lanterna Magica. The lantern was the first instrument capable of projecting images, the ancestor of modern cinematography. Four nineteenth-century magic lanterns and plates will be on display.

Promoted by the Historical Archives of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station in Naples on the experience of Etienne-Jules Marey, physiologist and inventor of the"photographic gun", optical instrument capable of capturing the moment. Marey, who lived nearly thirty years in Posillipo, four years before Lumiére brothers realized some movies. His extraordinary images will be projected in a documentary by Lux in Fabula.

Two examples of photographic reportage with the screening of "Earth and Torment - The week of fear," audiovisual text by Claudio Correale (Chairman of Lux in Fabula) on the dramatic evacuation of Rione Terra to Pozzuoli in 1970 because of bradyseism. The work was made possible thanks to 300 new photos of the photojournalist Antonio Grassi. "Rione Terra Memory" will also be presented, unpublished photos by Ruggero Morichi, Autumn 1970 with recordings made by Pantere scout squadron ASCI Pozzuoli March 2nd, 1970.

The meeting with Lux in Fabula continues in the hall of the Vesuvius Observatory (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology) Via Diocleziano 328. The Association will present the project of the Virtual Archive Bradisismo already available on the site "Bradisismoflegreo.it" with over five thousand official documents, articles and photos and 30 videos. On this occasion there will be a guided tour of the Centre.
