The City of Naples with the service Decentralized Cooperation, legality and Peace / CEICC - Europe Direct and the table of Citizenship promotes this year's World Refugee Day, under the auspices of UNHCR. The annual event, established on June 20th, wanted by the General Assembly with the aim of informing and raising public awareness of this category of migrants forced into a painful choice, but necessary, in order to save themselves from conditions ( often forgotten) war and violence. The theme chosen for this year is the Journey understood in a wider sense, as each individual a migrant in the course of life and important, even if only for brief moments, they can dwell on the need to recover that humanity everyone is losing. The results of the public consultation, which took place in recent months, will be presented at the seminar organized at the CEICC - Europe Direct Via Partenope 36 forthe Refugee Day - June 20th, 2014 from 5pm to 10pm. |
With a performance triggered by the experiential workshop, held in recent months at the CEICC - Europe Direct, which was attended by volunteers of different age and geographical origin, experimenting on their own and in groups the different stages of a complex and painful journey, Unfortunately, like the one experienced by many men fleeing from war, persecution and violence. The performance will take place at 7pm and then at 8pm on the promenade of Via Partenope - space in front of the Congress Center of Federico II - and will see the active involvement of the public by the participants.
