This tablet, affixed by the Commune of Naples in 1910 on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the expedition in Sicily (1860-1861) is to be seen in the main vestibule of Palazzo San Giacomo and records the names of those volunteers (of the 1,089) who gave their lives in the City of Naples in the service of Giuseppe Garibaldi.
The information is taken from the list published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale del Regno d'Italia on 12 November 1878 and the professions are those practised on the date of publication or at the time of death.
