The Other MANN. Deposits on display
They could be described as hidden treasures. In reality, the sixty works featured in the exhibition "The Other MANN. Deposits on Display" are symbolic of a gradual return of the museum's heritage to the city and tourists. The exhibition present in the Frescoes rooms, will also expand, by the end of September 2022, to the Pompeii Plastics: from the furnishings of the Vesuvian cities to the weapons of gladiators, from textiles to gold, with a focus on edibles. An exhibition in progress that, based on the incessant work of "excavation" and study in the immense deposits of the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, is a prelude to the doubling of the Pompeian collections presented to the public. And there is a curiosity: so many treasures, now kept in the deposits, have represented real cults for scientific literature since the moment of their discovery during excavations in the Vesuvian cities.

Fondazione Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee, in collaboration with Fondazione Morra Greco, as part of the 2021-2022 edition of the Cultural Actions of Fondazione Donnaregina - Progetto XXI, is hosting two new exhibition projects:
HAMISH FULTON
Linking the invisible footsteps of 3 seven-day walks on Southern Italy, October 2019
DANIELE MILVIO
Fiscal Damage
Edited by Gigiotto del Vecchio
The second floor of the Fondazione Morra Greco presents the solo exhibition Linking the invisible footsteps of 3 seven day walks on Southern Italy, October 2019, by British artist Hamish Fulton (1946). Defining himself as a walking artist, Hamish Fulton has developed over time an artistic practice that identifies walking as a way of living and making art. Visual and verbal accounts of his walks are transformed into works of art, and the exhibition becomes a place of experience, where each work evokes an invitation to explore the self and the world around it. On display at the Fondazione Morra Greco is the result of itineraries traced by the artist during a residency spent in Naples in 2019, during which Fulton immersed himself in the city, its surroundings and the majestic landscapes of southern Italy.
Among texts, prints, sculptures and posters, the exhibition transforms the artist's experiences into narrative performances and food for thought to investigate issues such as the relationship between human and nature and the environmental crisis.
The second and third floors of the Fondazione Morra Greco, along with the basement, host the exhibition Danno Erariale, a solo show by Daniele Milvio (1988) curated by Gigiotto Del Vecchio.
The exhibition evokes from its very title the artist's intent, which coincides with the restitution of themes and problems through the simplest and most immediate medium identifiable. The result is a deliberately discontinuous exhibition itinerary that traverses the production of the young Italian artist evoking his ironic approach with the ultimate goal of provoking the visitor. The works on canvas, which the artist himself conceives of as "two-dimensional dioramas," presented on the second floor give way to the sculptures that inhabit the third floor, punctuating the space with artistic interventions that aim to undermine the visitor's certainties through unusual images and juxtapositions.

The Other MANN. Deposits on display
They could be described as hidden treasures. In reality, the sixty works featured in the exhibition "The Other MANN. Deposits on display" are symbolic of a gradual return of the museum's heritage to the city and tourists. The exhibition present in the Frescoes rooms, will also expand, by the end of September 2022, into the Pompeii Plastics: from the furnishings of the Vesuvian cities to the weapons of gladiators, from textiles to gold, with a focus on edibles.

Brethren. Luigi Spina
A striking exhibition dedicated to the portraits of the brethren of the congregation of S. Giuseppe dei Nudi, kept in the Monumental Complex that is part of the ExtraMANN network. Luigi Spina photographed them as if they were the protagonists of an anthropological research, isolating the faces of the subjects, eliminating the trappings of role and rank and reducing them to their most human figure. In his photos even the cracks in the canvas come to life, turning almost into wrinkles and signs of time on the faces of these people.

Manga Heroes. Heroes and myths on the slopes of the volcano
comic book exhibition as part of COMICON.
The exhibit, in the halls of the Plastic of Pompeii and Oriental Cults, is dedicated to the art of Japanese comics. The Land of the Rising Sun shares with Naples the iconic and terrible presence of the volcano, here Mount Vesuvius, there Mount Fuji, both a source of artistic inspiration and, at the same time, perpetual alertness. The display also highlights the deep suggestions of classical culture that can be recognized in the world of manga.

Beach Archaeology
by Maurizio Finotto in collaboration with Studio Trisorio
Installations made after ten years of research on Italian coastlines, using plastic objects brought by the sea to the sandy shores. The relics of contemporary society are resignified and reinterpreted, almost like fragments found during an archaeological excavation. Finotto's works, dioramas and video installations i, set up in the Neapolis Station spaces in the basement of the Museum, dialogue with the relics of antiquity. The installation reflects MANN's sensitivity to promoting respectful attitudes toward the environment.
