Two athenians leave their tediousness city, divoured by passion on the verge of ruin to look for a place without bother where they could spend the rest of their life. In this way Aristofane's birds begins, "the best comedy of all time" in Dario Del Corno opinion.
In Birds' World the athenians find a big utopic dream, a sweet homeland, without laws and violence. Full of funny side and sarcasm, this comedy desecrates all the past and present myths; in the same time we laugh and we think about the truth of its meanings. What's and where's Utopia kingdom? Is it maybe the stage where it is possible in the same time reality and dream?
In Aristofane's story, the Utopia kingdom turns into a world with its structures and figures: poetasters and politicians, slave dealers and parricidals, gods and men knock at "neo-director" Pisitero's door, asking him to be represented. In this World Theatre all theatrical styles share in being represented: this theatre is characterized by infinite humors and speeches.
