Abandoned in the bags, useless esteemed, very little but awkward small - denomination unities to get rid of as soon as possible paltry values too much inconvenient to be accepted without betray a little bit of intolerance: they are cents, little fraction of the euro of particularly insignificant value or anyway perceived in a completely different way from the most desired banknote.
Actually also a single cent could be the beginning of something greater, turning into something else, many little penny put together can constitute the start of a public design, for the "common welfare". This is the aim of "CENTESIMO AVANZATO" (left cent), a Susanne Bosch's initiative, on 8th of May at PAN | Palazzo delle Arti Napoli.
Tested with success in Germany, the project want to involve all the city, asking to Neapolitans to express a wish, donating a single cent to carry out it. So it will be possible to participate to the creation of a sort of creative platform, that, for eight weeks, will consent to gather 'Neapolitans' for Neapolitans' ideas and cent. On 30th of June 2008 a committee made up of kids, aged from 8 to 12, will choose among all the made proposals.
