Photographic exhibition "Bertelli, Esposito, Stallo's Iraq: three photographers to tell a country"

from 26 May to 2 June 2009
Antisala of Baroni, Maschio Angioino

With the sponsorship and the economic support of the Naples City hall, in collaboration with the No- governmental voluntary association for the international solidarity, it will be open the photographic exhibition about Iraq, which deals with the infringement of human rights: "Bertelli, Esposito, Stallo's Iraq: three photographers to tell a country".

The idea of a photographic exhibition arises from the will of telling Iraq using pictures which trace out a story; the story of a country which has lived 13 years of embargo, 2 wars and many invasions.
The infringement of rights will be the leitmotif of a path shared by 3 photographers and a film director, who denounce the violence which has characterized the last war.
The exhibition will be open up to 2 June. You can visit it from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm, and on Sunday from 9.00 am to 01.30 pm.
It has been organized into 3 areas dedicated to the photographers, with explanatory panels, authors' biographical information and an introduction to the work. Behind these panels there are 105 photos which represent a form of denounce, preparing the public for the exhibition.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on May 27 at 5.00 pm by the town councillor of the education, prof. Gioia Rispoli at the presence of the artists and the "un ponte per..." association's representatives.

On the occasion of the exhibition, on 26 May at 3.30 pm, it will be presented the social study  on the themes of the exhibition made by the professor Antonello Petrillo, from University "Suor Orsola Benincasa".
Among the presents, the town councillor Rispoli, Ms Simona Torretta and Ms Paola Gasparoli (for the association "un ponte per...")

On 30 May at 4.30 pm, it will take place the screening of the video "Angeli Distratti", by Gianluca Arcopinto, with the introduction by Simona Torretta and at the presence of Mohammad al-Deraji, who have denounced the use of no-conventional weapons during the last Iraqi war.

The news conference will take place on 27 May at 11.00 am, at the same place of the exhibition and, among the presents, we cite: the town councillor Gioia Rispoli, the artists and the "un ponte per..." association's representatives.
